Sremska Kamenica. In accordance with the decree on formation, equipment, competencies, duties and gendarmerie teaching, on February 1st, 1920, the Gendarmerie officer school was established in Sremska Kamenica.
About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
